What we keep, why, and for how long
Written in plain words. It is complete, and it is not legal advice.

Who is responsible
idem UNIVERSAL, operated by Leonard Irimia, data controller. Write to the address in the footer for anything about your data.
What is processed
- The chat on the assistant page: the text you type and any photo or PDF you attach, for as long as it takes to answer, plus the last five turns of that chat for one day.
- A photo or PDF you send in that chat goes to the model to be read. idem does not store it: the engine reads it in memory, and the upload’s temporary file is deleted when the answer is sent.
- When you press “Continue on my phone”: a one-hour record holds your last five turns, the links to the files you made, any routine you set, the trade you picked and your time zone, until your phone collects it. It is deleted the moment it is collected, or after an hour if nobody collects it.
- When you ask a question in “Ask idem” (the chat behind the round red button): your question, the page you are on and the last four questions and answers of that chat go to the model, for as long as it takes to answer. The server keeps none of these words; it keeps only a count of questions per hashed address (below) and a count of tokens per day, with no address and no words.
- A random session id, stored in your browser (localStorage, not a cookie), so the free cap counts per session.
- A hashed version of your IP address for one day, so the free cap, the five-a-day limit on the forms and the daily limit of questions in “Ask idem” count per device too. The address itself is not stored.
- The files the assistant makes for you, for seven days.
- The send buttons it prepares for you: the address, the subject and the text, for seven days, so the button still works when you tap it.
- As a contact on Telegram: your messages, your attachments, the letter the assistant keeps about you, your routines and your time zone, until you say “forget”.
- A log of jobs with no names and no content: the time, the language, the number of tokens, whether it worked.
- When you book a call: your name, your email, the time you pick and your answers to the four questions, kept for as long as the booking and what follows it need. If you agree to the recording, the recording and the written summary are deleted within seven days.
- When you write to Leonard on WhatsApp: your phone number, your WhatsApp name and your messages, in Leonard’s WhatsApp Business app and in its end-to-end encrypted backup on Google Drive, for as long as the conversation and what follows it need. The assistant is not on WhatsApp: Leonard reads and answers himself.
- When you start the 3 days: your e-mail address, and whether you ticked the news box, kept for as long as the trial and what follows it need. A ticked box is kept as your yes; nothing is sent yet, and the day there is news to send it goes only to those who ticked.
- When the assistant is down for a while and you leave your e-mail under the chat, or write it to the assistant, to be told when it is back: the address, until Leonard has written to you.
- When you ask the voice assistant for a plan or a call: your name, your e-mail, your business and the problem you describe go to Leonard by e-mail, and a copy is kept on the server until Leonard has written to you. A call it books for you is kept like any other booking (above).
- When you ask for a free look at your work: your answers, your name, your e-mail and, if you gave them, your phone and website, in our mailbox and on the server, for as long as writing the plan and what follows it need.
Why
To do the job you hand it, to write the plan you asked for, to answer your questions in “Ask idem”, to count the free try, to start your 3 days, and to keep the service working. Nothing is used for advertising; the one exception is news from idem, and only if you ticked the box for it. Nothing is sold.
Who else sees it
- The model provider, Anthropic, receives the text of a job, any file you send, the letter it keeps about you and the last turns, to produce the answer with its Claude models. For “Ask idem” it receives your question, the page you are on and the last four questions and answers, with the text of this site’s pages. A voice note is turned into text by OpenAI first; OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days, to catch abuse of its own service, and longer only where the law requires it, or to protect its service or others from harm. Your text is not used to train either provider’s models. Anthropic deletes it within 30 days. It keeps it longer only where the law requires it, or for up to two years when its safety checks flag a breach of its usage rules. Beyond that, idem keeps the files it made for you for seven days, then deletes them. A second provider can replace Anthropic behind one switch.
- The hosting provider, Hostinger, runs the server and the mailbox the forms land in. The server stands in Germany.
- Telegram carries the messages when you use idem as a contact, under its own terms.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages when you write to Leonard on WhatsApp, under its own terms. The app’s chat backup is kept on Google Drive (Google), end-to-end encrypted: Google cannot read it.
- The booking tool, Cal.com, shows the free times and takes the booking for a call. Google Meet carries the call itself, and the booking is written into the calendar the call runs in.
- The AI notice beside the round red button at the bottom left comes from disclosura.eu, a service also run by Leonard Irimia. Your browser loads it from that server, which, like any web server, receives your IP address with that request; its host keeps it in a standard access log (see disclosura.eu/privacy/). The notice sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and reports nothing back: its display count is switched off on this site.
- The voice door, ElevenLabs, carries the spoken conversation when you choose "Talk to it": your voice goes to ElevenLabs to be understood and answered, and the words of the call go to Google's Gemini model, which writes the answers, under their own terms. ElevenLabs is set to keep no recording and no transcript of the call. The door opens only after your tap, and only on this site.
Your rights
- See everything the assistant keeps about you: say “show letter”.
- Erase it: say “forget”. The letter, your record, the files it made for you and the buttons it prepared are all deleted at once.
- Access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, and a complaint to your data protection authority: write to the address in the footer.
- Stop the news: one line to the address in the footer, and it stops.
Cookies and tracking
Almost none. This site sets no cookie of its own and runs no advertising pixel. The one exception is the booking calendar: opening it loads Cal.com, which sets a short security cookie of its own (__cf_bm, about half an hour) to keep bots off the calendar. It is not advertising and it does not follow you. The only other things stored in your browser are the session id above; if you tap a trade chip in the chat, the trade you picked (idem.trade); once you close the greeting over the round red button or open the button, a note that keeps the greeting closed until you close the tab (idem-hi); and, once you open “Ask idem”, the chat itself (whether it is open, and its last six questions and answers) until you close the tab (idem-ask).
Changes
When something here changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Preview pages
Some businesses get a private link from us to a preview: a sample website we made for them, with an offer page, under idemuniversal.com/p/. This part is for them. Everything else on this page holds for them too: the same person is responsible, and the same rights apply.
- Where the facts come from: public sources only. The business’s own website and social pages, its Google Maps listing, public directories and review sites, official company and licence registers, and local news about the business. We note where each fact came from.
- Who can see a preview: only someone with the link. The link holds a private code, is listed nowhere, and the page asks search engines not to index it.
- How long a preview stays: tell us no, and we delete it within 2 working days. If we hear nothing, we delete it after 7 days.
- Our notes on the business (the facts and where each came from): deleted 12 months after our last message, or at once if you tell us no. We keep only your no, so we never write to you again.
- The answer box on the offer page: your answer, your message, the contact details you choose to give and the parts you picked go through our server to Leonard as one Telegram message, under Telegram’s own terms. Leonard keeps it for as long as the conversation and what follows it need. The server’s log keeps no words: only the time, which preview, and whether the message arrived. If Telegram cannot take it, the message waits on our server until Leonard has read it and deleted it.
- To stop robots, the server keeps a hashed version of your IP address with the times of your recent sends. The address itself is not stored.
- The voice assistant on a preview is not the one on the rest of this site. ElevenLabs carries the call: your voice goes to ElevenLabs to be understood and answered, and the words go to an AI model that ElevenLabs runs itself (Qwen3.5). ElevenLabs keeps no recording of your voice. It keeps the written transcript for 7 days, then deletes it. After the call, ElevenLabs sends your answers, a summary and your own words to our server, which passes them to Leonard as one Telegram message, as above.
- Why: to show a business what we could build for it, and to hear its answer. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering our work to businesses. You can object at any time, and we stop: say no on the page, or write to the address in the footer.
